Child Safeguarding
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Our Child Safeguarding Policy can be viewed here.
Rights of Our Children
All adults involved with our school are expected to acknowledge, agree to and abide by the following at all times:
Treat all children with respect, dignity, honesty and patience
Show consideration for the opinions and values of our children
Be mindful and understanding of cultural differences
Respect the needs and rights of our children
Working with Children
It is the responsibility of all adults working at the school to keep children safe.
We screen all staff before they commence working with us, including sexual conviction records from the Hong Kong Police Force. This same record is also required by any adults working with our children (eg: outside club providers).
All school employees (teaching and non-teaching) and bus service staff attend annual training on child safeguarding conducted by the school's leadership team.
All registered adults working with our children (excluding our staff) must sign-in and out of the school. They must also wear the school’s “Visitor” tag at all times when on school grounds.
Positive reinforcement should be used with our children. Criticism, competition or comparisons need to be avoided at all times. Corporal punishment is not acceptable at any time.
